The Dyfi Osprey Project is one of Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust’s flagship projects based on our Cors Dyfi Reserve near Machynlleth on the west coast of mid Wales.
Glaslyn Ospreys
Ospreys have been breeding near Glaslyn since at least 2004. Originally run by the RSPB, Bywyd Gwyllt Glaslyn Wildlife took over running the project in 2013.
The current breeding birds are:
- Male: Aran (since 2015)
- Female: Mrs G (since 2004!)
In 2020, both Aran and Mrs G returned successfully, and raised three chicks: two females and a male.
